We are currently taking applications for Medway River Lit's Author Fair, which will be part of the Launch event on Saturday 31 October 2026, at Chatham Library.

Local authors, who are not part of any other event at Medway River Lit are invited to apply for a space at the event. There is limited room and each writer will be allocated a half table. 

​

• It is free to take part in the Author Fair, and no percentage will be charged for selling books. 

• You are in charge of supplying your own method of payment (eg, card reader), taking payments and dealing with your own taxes on any items sold. 

• Set-Up: Please arrive at 10.00am to set up your stall for 10.30am. Please note, no admittance once launch event has started (1pm).

• Pack-Up: Please wait till the end of the event to pack up (4pm). 

• The library is fully wheelchair accessible, no hot food is allowed in the library. 

• Table banners only, no floor banners. 

• There are 12 table spaces, so please consider doubling up with a friend if you can.

• The spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis with a waiting list. 

• Please note, this is a public space, and it will be a family audience, so bear this is mind, if your books are aimed at an 18+ readership.
