About the event
An unmissable poetry show from two Kent-based poets, Katy Evans-Bush and Philip Kane.
Philip Kane is an author and poet, a storyteller in the oral tradition, and an artist. He was a founding member of the London Surrealist Group. ‘The Decipherment Of Nature’ is an astounding collection of poems that “turn the reader into … a badger digging for the roots of stars.”
Katy Evans-Bush was born in New York City and has spent most of her life in London. Her blog Baroque In Hackney was short listed for the George Orwell Prize for political writing, and she is currently working on a book about the new homeless. She now lives in Kent, where she is a freelance editor and poetry tutor. Her latest book, ‘Joe Hill Makes His Way Into The Castle’, was a Guardian Poetry Book of the Year, 2024.
