Big Trouble's book series returns with a second installment of literary treats, bringing you readings and conversations from the talents of Maggie Harris, Philip Kane and Jessica Taggart Rose
Maggie Harris is an artist, poet and author, Winner of the Guyana Prize for Literature, Regional Winner of The Commonwealth Short Story Prize 2014 the Wales Poetry Award 2020, a prizewinner in the Welsh Poetry Competition, Kingston Uni life Writing Competition, the TS Eliot Prize student Prize UKC, Kent’s Outstanding Adult Learner 1994 and the recipient of several Arts Council awards.
She has published 11 books and is included in journals such as Poetry Wales, Wasafiri, Magma, The Caribbean Writer, Confluence and Seaside Gothic. She has read her work internationally, notably the Caribbean, Ireland and India. In 2024 she was appointed a Fellow of the Royal Literary Fund and runs a weekly Reading Group in Kent.
