About the event
Special event! Poetry workshop
Saturday 10 October, 2-3.30pm.
Free entry to exhibition 'In Turner's Wake' from 1pm.
Free but booking essential.
In this exploratory relaxed workshop, we'll take inspiration from the past 3 years of Medway River Lit - maybe you came and you saw an unforgettable poet or performer and would like to explore ways you could write about that, maybe the topic of one of our talks really chimed with you and you'd like to think about your own way of interpreting the topic.
We'll do a number of short writing exercises to help you find your poetic muse, come at 1pm to have a look at the 'In Turner's Wake' exhibition, we'll possibly also have a walk around the Dockyard to inspire us, depending on the weather (so wear comfy walking shoes!), and hopefully everyone will leave with the basis of a few new poems from varied…
